  12.   Below is a list of TRANSMISSION files found for your unregistered copy of
  13.  
  14.             TAYLORED SOFTWARE'S VB CODE WIZARD FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  16.      Some of these are contained in the program initialization and/or the
  17.   program install portions of the program, or within its many windows help
  18.   files. so please be sure that you review all of them as soon as possible.

  21.  VB CODE WIZARD IS THE [PROGRAMMERS COMPANION AND AID] FOR VISUAL BASIC
  22.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  24.       The VB CODE WIZARD installation files can be contained on one
  25.    3 1/2" 1.44 MEG program master disk. It will contain all of the necessary
  26.    files if it is properly exploded and processed by you. Please be very sure
  27.    to review the PREP.TXT file that is also furnished as a part of the three
  28.    files contained on this diskette. Then from and by reviewing and fully
  29.    using the following instructions you will be able to easily and simply
  30.    load your VB CODE WIZARD program to any drive that your computer
  31.    supports. It should be noted here that the program disk must and will be
  32.    initialized on your C:\ Hard Drive.
  33.  
  34.    Now here is a listing of the necessary files for a computer system that
  35.    has MICROSOFT'S Visual Basic installed. These are the files that you should
  36.    have after preforming the steps in the prep.txt file and during and after
  37.    initialization and installation. They are as follows:
  38.  
  39.     1.) VBCWUR.ZIP  - The compressed file of all compressed program files.
  40.     2.) UZ.EXE       - The file uncompressor program.
  41.     3.) INSTALL.TXT  - This text file a copy of which is loaded to your
  42.                        C:\VB\VBCODWIZ\> or other directory during program
  43.                        installation.
  44.     4.) COLOR.EXE    - An executable file used during the program installation.
  45.     5.) DESIGN.VBX   - A windows system file.
  46.     6.) BROWSE.TXT   - A text file explaining the browse.com file.
  47.     7.) BROWSE.COM   - A text file viewer.
  48.     8.) SETUPKIT.DLL - A windows system file
  49.     9.) READMEUR.1ST - A text file partially explaining the program.
  50.    10.) REGISTER.TXT - A text file detailing registration.

  52.  THESE FILES ARE USED FOR INSTALLATION FROM YOUR A:\ DRIVE IF YOU ARE GOING
  53.  TO INSTALL THE PROGRAM FROM YOUR B:\ DRIVE DELETE THESE FILES BEFORE
  54.  EXECUTING THE STARTB.BAT FILE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE
  55.  FILES AS THE PROGRAM INITIALIZATION WILL FAIL IF YOU DO NOT DELETE THEM

  58.    11.) INSTALLA.EXE - The MAIN INITIALIZATION file for A: drive installation.
  59.    12.) INSTALLA.BAT - The BATCH file used by the INSTALLA program.
  60.    13.) STARTA.BAT   - The BATCH file for a drive that you use to start the
  61.                        whole install process if you are installing the
  62.                        program from your computer's A:\. This is all you
  63.                        have to enter the program will do the rest.
  64.    14.) INSTALLA.PIF - The PROGRAM INFO file used by WINDOWS program.

  66.  THESE FILES ARE USED FOR INSTALLATION FROM YOUR B:\ DRIVE IF YOU ARE GOING
  67.  TO INSTALL THE PROGRAM FROM YOUR A:\ DRIVE DELETE THESE FILES BEFORE
  68.  EXECUTING THE STARTA.BAT FILE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE
  69.  FILES AS = THE PROGRAM INITIALIZATION WILL FAIL IF YOU DO NOT DELETE THEM =

  72.    15.) STARTB.BAT   - The BATCH file that you use to start the whole
  73.                        install process if you are installing the program
  74.                        from your computer's B:\. This is all you have
  75.                        to enter the program will do the rest.
  76.    16.) INSTALLB.EXE - The MAIN INITIALIZATION file for B: drive installation.
  77.    17.) INSTALLB.BAT - The BATCH file used by the INSTALLB program.
  78.    18.) INSTALLB.PIF - The PROGRAM INFO file used by WINDOWS program.

  80.  THE REST OF THE FILES CONTAINED ON THE PROGRAM DISK ARE TEXT FILES FOR YOUR
  81.  REVIEW PRIOR TO THE INITIALIZATION AND THEN THE FULL INSTALLATION OF YOUR
  82.  VB CODE WIZARD PROGRAM. PLEASE READ EACH ONE FULLY AND THE INFORMATION

  84.        The main distribution file that you have downloaded is labeled as
  85.     VBCWUR.EXE and it contains all of the individual compressed program
  86.     files that are used by the initialization and installation portions
  87.     of the program including SETUP.EXE the setup file that is used by
  88.     windows to install your UNREGISTERED VERSION OF THE VB CODE WIZARD
  89.     program.

  92.  HERE IS THE SIMPLE/EASY TO FOLLOW BASICS TO GET VB CODE WIZARD INSTALLED
  93.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  95.       In order that you may initiate the full installation of your copy of
  96.     THE VB CODE WIZARD program and to initialize all of the installation
  97.     files that are contained In the transmission file VBCWUR.ZIP contained
  98.     within the VBCWUR.EXE file and to get the program installed the only
  99.     steps required by you after following the steps in the PREP.TXT file
  100.     are as follows.

  102.     If you are installing the program from you computer's A:>\ drive
  103.     insert the diskette into your A:>\ drive and then delete all files that
  104.     are named as follows startb.bat, installb.exe, installb.bat
  105.  
  106.     [ NOTE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE FILES AS THERE WILL
  107.       NOT BE ENOUGH DISKETTE SPACE UNLESS YOU DO THIS ]
  108.  
  109.     Then type STARTA at the A:>\ DOS prompt or if you are installing the
  110.     program from you computer's B:>\ drive insert the diskette into your
  111.     B:>\ drive and then delete all files that are named as follows starta.bat,
  112.     installa.exe, installa.bat
  113.  
  114.     [ NOTE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE FILES AS THERE WILL
  115.       NOT BE ENOUGH DISKETTE SPACE AND THE PROGRAM WILL NOT INSTALL
  116.       PROPERLY UNLESS YOU DO THIS ]

  118.     Then type STARTB at the B:>\ DOS prompt and the program will begin
  119.     loading via dos the  windows system files required to begin the
  120.     initialization mode of the program and then the installation mode
  121.     of the program. After typing either of the above depending on the
  122.     drive you are installing from and then at the first screen just press
  123.     a key or if you decide not to install the program press CTL and BREAK at
  124.     the same time to exit the initial installation of the program. The
  125.     Program will if you press a key take over from there and when the
  126.     copying of the above files is complete batch file will load windows
  127.     and the windows program manager and finally the initialization program
  128.     screen.

  130.     After the initialization screen is displayed by windows you will
  131.     be required to decide if you want to continue the installation. If
  132.     so click continue initialization or if not click exit initialization.
  133.     If you click continue the program will initialize all program files.
  134.     so just sit back and wait a few minutes. Then when the program files
  135.     been initialized the program will load the SETUP screen and it will
  136.     be displayed. Click continue or exit which ever the case may be in
  137.     order to complete the full installation of your VB CODE WIZARD
  138.     PROGRAM. Just a note here if you decide not to finish the installation
  139.     at this point just remove the diskette and store it for future use.

  145.     After preforming the steps to be described below and when you do decide
  146.     to install it just follow the steps outlined as follows:

  148.         When you do decide to install your VB CODE WIZARD program the
  149.     only steps necessary are to insert the stored diskette and then to access
  150.     windows and enter the following exact command from the RUN menu box of
  151.     the files menu of your program manager and depending on if the floppy
  152.     drive you are you are going to be installing your VB CODE WIZARD
  153.     program from your computer is a:\> or B;\> drive as the proper case may
  154.     be.
  155.   
  156.                  A:\SETUP.EXE
  157.                  B:\SETUP.EXE
  158.  
  159.          The program will then be fully installed and the setup program
  160.     will then create the program group and all of the necessary program
  161.     icons that are required to fully access and run all of the programs 
  162.     contained in your full SHAREWARE UNREGISTERED copy of VB CODE WIZARD
  163.     FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  168.                IT'S THAT SIMPLE AND EASY JUST LIKE THE PROGRAM
  169.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  171.    One more note I would recommend that you make a backup copy of the
  172.    program installation files before you remove the VB CODE WIZARD
  173.    program diskette and store it. It Never hurts to have two [2] copies
  174.    of a program. See the notes that follow on preforming this.

  176.                 PROGRAM MASTER DISKETTE BACKUP PROCEDURE
  177.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  179.        After the program installation is complete please make a backup copy
  180.     of the program master installation disk that you have just used to
  181.     install the VB CODE WIZARD program for your protection. You may do this by
  182.     using the DOS (COPY OR DISKCOPY) command. At the DOS Prompt type this
  183.     as follows:
  184.  
  185.               A:\> copy *.* B:\>
  186.               OR  A:\> diskcopy *.* A:\> if you have a single disk drive.
  187.  
  188.               OR
  189.               B:\> copy *.* A:\>
  190.  
  191.          The program will then be fully installed and the setup program
  192.     will then create the program group and all of the necessary program
  193.     icons that are required to fully access and run all of the programs 
  194.     contained in your unregistered shareware copy of VB CODE WIZARD
  195.     FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  198.            END OF THE PROGRAM MASTER DISKETTE BACKUP PROCEDURES

  201.     NOTE: DO NOT be concerned near the end of the installation when the
  202.     windows 3.1 dynamic linked library system files are being written
  203.     to that directory and the floppy drive disk looks as if it is reading
  204.     but it looks as if no writing is being preformed to the hard drive.
  205.     This is normal when installing these type of files. The total
  206.     installation should take approximately 6-10 min. on a 486 machine.
